REDESIGN BEGINS WITH AN INITIAL ONE-HOUR CONSULTATION. Together, we'll tour your home and I will give you many valuable decorating ideas and tips that you can use whether or not you choose to hire me to complete the redesign. We will discuss what you love about your room and what just isn't working. You may choose to implement many of these ideas on your own. After viewing your room and its contents, I will prepare a quote for a 1-Day, 1-Room Redesign. If you choose to go forward with the redesign within 30 days, the cost of the consultation appointment ($95.00) will be subtracted from the total redesign fee. If your initial decorating consultation requires more than one hour, each additional half-hour will be billed at $30.00.
1-ROOM, 1-DAY REDESIGN
WITH REDESIGN PRINCIPLES, MINOR CHANGES OFTEN BRING ABOUT MAJOR RESULTS. Rooms suddenly appear larger, less cluttered, and more welcoming. Using what you own, your furniture will be placed to work best with the room's architecture, then your rugs, lamps, artwork and accessories will be repositioned in the room to their best advantage. The goal of the redesign is to help you achieve a pulled-together look that is warm, inviting, and functional. The room will reflect your personality and lifestyle because we will be using your things.
Is it affordable? A 1-room redesign averages between $450 and $650, and takes anywhere from 5 to 7 hours - depending on the scale of the project. This is usually less than the cost of one new piece of furniture. In addition, I offer a discount for each additional room redesigned on the same day.
What happens on the day of the Redesign? I, along with an assistant, arrive in the morning and you will leave for the day (approximately 6 hours). Some clients go to work while others go shopping or meet friends. While you are away, I will rearrange your furniture, reposition your accessories and re-hang your artwork. With your permission, I'll "shop" your home for hidden treasures that I feel will enhance the room I am redesigning.
When you return for the "reveal," you will be amazed at the transformation! After you have a chance to view your new space, I will provide you with a future shopping list if your room is in need of any final touches to make it complete. Perhaps it needs one more picture, an area rug, or an additional lamp - whatever it is, I spell it out for you so you can shop wisely.
SHOPPING FOR YOU If you just don't have the time, or you don't find accessory shopping enjoyable, I can help choose those "final touches" that will really make your house a home. - $60.00 per hour - OR we can also shop together if you prefer.
